UNEXPECTED EXPOSURE
SERIES
SERIES
Performed free of charge for audiences this series is comprised of short portable, dancetheater works, performed by a cast of "younger" professional performers (younger than THE GLUE FACTORY PROJECT performers)
Opening up the experience of CW's dancetheater works to those who would not ordinarily attend an “in-theater” production. Expanding the path to mutual accessibility, while actively countering these growing times of isolation and division.

CHEZNEY DOUGLAS a queer dancer/ visual artist born & raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they began their formal dance training at the age of 5 at Bunker Dance Center. From there they continued to the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts for high school, graduating with a focus on dance and 3D design; and received a BFA from Point Park University where they performed the works of Tyce Diorio, Peter Chu, Adam Hougland, Pearlanne Porter, Robert Priore, Jason McDole, Colleen Hooper, and David Norsworthy.
Most recently they received an MA degree in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Their current research investigates tap dance as embodied knowledge—a living archive where rhythm, improvisation, lineage, and community preserve and transform cultural memory. Grounded in their perspective as a Queer BIPOC artist, Chezney’s practice explores the intersections of movement, identity, history, and belonging. Whether through performance, teaching, choreography, or research, their work seeks to honor the stories carried within the body and create spaces where diverse forms of knowledge and expression can thrive.
Professionally they have performed with the PILLOW PROJECT, and with CORNINGWORKS GLUE FACTORY PROJECTS production of STAND BY— an allegory in Pittsburgh and NYC’s LaMaMa Experimental Theater. This
